Just what is a winch?

Winches create unique boarding opportunities almost anytime anyplace whether you’re riding a wakeboard, wakeskate, snowboard, skim board, surfboard, skateboard, mountain board, freeboard and more. Gone are the days of staring at a serene pond nestled within the big city simply dreaming of shredding the gnar, that dream my friends- is a reality. How about the snow-covered field that had you wishing for a drop in so you could hit a nearby rail- now you can turn that field into a terrain park.

The basic winch is a stationary machine with anywhere from 600’ to 2000’ feet of line and a wakeboard handle that reels a rider toward it at speeds up to 40 mph. It requires an operator or diver to control the speed and of course a rider on his or her favorite board. The price of a winch is hardly a fraction of the price of a boat and it is far more fuel efficient. With virtually no impact on the environment and the ability to change your runs pull after pull you’ll find it almost impossible to commit any sins while riding a Phoenix Winch.

Why Phoenix Winch?

What makes Phoenix Winch LLC unique? For starters we ride more than any other Arizona based winch company. We’re constantly scouting new winch spots and performing R & D. We KNOW exactly what makes a winch perform to its greatest potential. Add to that point the fact that we have the most cost effective machine in the industry and you’re sure to be partial to our brand. We use high quality discount parts where available and all labor is done in house, then we pass these savings on to you.

Winch Tips

1. Check the landing (depth, obstructions, and distance)

2. When scouting, observe local traffic for timing (don't rush something risky)

3. Keep an eye on gas and oil

4. Be respectful when approached by authority, give the sport a positive name

5. Pack it in, pack it out

6. Secure the winch (better safe than sorry)

7. Every crew member needs to serve a purpose

8. Prepare for delays

9. Allow distance from from landing or stopping point to winch
